Getting Started
Introduction - Supervised Hours Tracker Docs Docs
What the Supervised Hours Tracker is, who it's for, and what it deliberately does not do.
The Supervised Hours Tracker helps pre-licensed associates — starting with California Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) — log supervised clinical experience hours, get them attested by a supervisor, and export the official Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) forms needed for licensure.
Who it’s for
- Associates log weekly hours by category, track supervision sessions, and watch their progress toward the 3,000-hour / 104-week requirement.
- Supervisors review and sign weekly logs and Experience Verification forms, and see every associate they supervise across every practice that has granted them access.
- Practice administrators get compliance visibility across their associates and supervisors, without gaining control over an associate’s personal record.
What it is
- A structured ledger of quantities of time in categories — not a case management system.
- A rules engine that checks California AMFT supervision requirements against what’s been logged, and explains what it found in plain language with a citation.
- A form-filler that produces the BBS’s own weekly log and Experience Verification PDFs from attested data.
What it deliberately is not
- Not an EHR. No client names, notes, diagnoses, or treatment plans are ever collected.
- Not a certifier of compliance. The product never tells you your hours are “approved.” It shows you what the Board’s own rules require, what your record shows, and what to do next — the supervisor attests, and the Board decides.
- Not a submission channel. There is no API to the Board. You still mail or upload your own package; the product produces it.
Where to go next
- Getting Started — create an account and understand the three roles.
- Hour Categories — the category taxonomy every logged hour maps to.
- Weekly Logging & Attestation — how a week gets signed and locked.
- Supervision Rules — the specific California AMFT rules the engine checks.
